Abrasive products are mainly divided into two categories: corundum abrasives and silicon carbide abrasives. Specifically, they have several types as following:

Corundum abrasives

1.Brown corundum abrasives

Its main component is Al2O3, with medium hardness, high toughness, sharp particles, relatively low price, suitable for processing high tensile strength metals. Microcrystalline corundum abrasives and black corundum abrasives are all derived varieties.

2.White corundum abrasives

Its hardness is slightly higher than brown corundum, but the toughness is poor and easy to cut into the workpiece during grinding, self-sharpness, less heat, strong grinding ability, high efficiency. Chrome corundum abrasive is a derivative of its origin.

3. Single crystal corundum abrasives

The particles are composed of a single crystal, and have a good multi-edge cutting edge, high hardness and toughness, strong grinding ability, less heat generation.However, its production cost is higher , so the price is higher.

Zirconium corundum abrasive is also a crystalline compound with a slightly lower hardness, a finer crystal size and good wear resistance.

Silicon carbide abrasives

Black silicon carbide abrasive, green silicon carbide abrasive, cubic silicon carbide abrasive, silicon carbide abrasive, etc. belong to silicon carbide abrasive. Their main component is silicon carbide SiC with high hardness, brittleness, sharp abrasive grain, good thermal conductivity, strong wear resistance, which is suitable for processing hard and brittle metal and non-metal products.
