According to the statistics of China Die & Mould Industry Association, in 2018, China's mold exports reached US$6.085 billion, an increase of 10.8% over the previous year.It account for one-quarter of the world's total mold exports and exports to around 200 countries and regions around the world. The top five exports markets are the United States, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan and Mexico.The mold imports were US$2.14 billion, increased 4.3% year-on-year, accounting for one-eighth of the world's total mold imports. The top five imported markets were Japan, Korea,Germany, China and the United States.

The mold is known as the "mother of industry". According to the China Die & Mould Industry Association, the consumption of China's molds of 255.5 billion in 2018 can support 28 trillion of industrial manufactured goods in the country. It is an important part of "Made in China" and plays a role in "big country". The role of “behind the scenes hero” in the improvement of people’s lives. Taking the automotive industry as an example, the mold dependence of automobile manufacturing has exceeded 90%, and more than 95% of the mold enterprises in the country involve automobile molds.

According to statistics, in recent years, Chinese mold companies have accelerated “going out” and completed more than 20 related mergers and acquisitions. The transaction amount is nearly 7 billion US dollars. The main M&A direction is the intelligent, electrified and lightweight of the mold.
